I know that when money is tight some parents would tend to buy cheap school shoes from their child. I have bought cheap school shoes which most of the times tend not to be real leather and I have also bought real leather shoes from Clarks as well. I always prefer well made shoes for my children. Also when it comes to buying school shoes I prefer Velcro to lace shoes as it helps to encourage the child to become independent, except the child is old enough to start tying his own shoe lace.
